About Elements Bookkeeping
Doing your own bookkeeping can feel confusing and stressful... worrying about mistakes, missed deadlines, or falling behind while you're busy running your business. You don't have to figure it out on your own.
I'm Kelly, and I got my start in bookkeeping the way a lot of small business owners do, out of necessity. While running my own real estate business, I took on the books myself, and somewhere between reconciling accounts and building out reports, I realized I actually loved it.
Elements Bookkeeping grew out of that discovery... a bookkeeping practice built for small business owners, especially service-based businesses, who want clean numbers, clear communication, and someone who actually picks up the phone. I'm based in Longmont, Colorado, and work virtually with clients across the U.S., using tools like QuickBooks Online to keep things simple, accurate, and tax-ready.

What software do you use?
I work exclusively in QuickBooks Online. If you're not already set up, I'll help you get connected as part of onboarding, so you won't need to learn a new system on your own.
Is my financial data secure?
Yes. I connect directly through QuickBooks Online's bank-level encryption, and I never ask for your bank login credentials directly. Your data stays protected the same way it would with any bank or financial institution.
I'm behind on my bookkeeping. Can you help me catch up?
Absolutely. That's exactly what Cleanup & Catch-Up is for. Whether you're a few months or a few years behind, I'll review every transaction and get your books current and tax-ready.
Do you handle payroll or inventory management?
I don't process payroll or manage inventory directly, but I partner closely with your third-party payroll provider to keep everything connected. Bookkeeping is where I focus, so I can do it well.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. All of my plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. If it's not working for you, you can cancel anytime.
How quickly do you respond, and what does communication look like?
You're always talking to a real person... me. I respond to emails within 1 business day, and monthly plans include ongoing support so you're never left wondering what's going on with your books.
Can I switch from my current bookkeeper mid-year?
Yes, and it's more common than you'd think. I'll review your existing books, get everything reconciled and organized, and make the transition smooth from day one.
